Choosing An Artist Or Artists

DMV Artists have worked at the heart of the entertainment industry for decades and know how overwhelming the amount of choice can be when booking entertainment for an event. We can help turn your ideas into reality and make what you hoped for your event become certainty.

  • How do I book an artist with DMV?

You can call or email our consultants or even just fill out the booking form provided here

  • Do you have an artist that….?

DMV has artists of many different genres and specialities so we’re sure we’ll find you something just right for your event. You can have a look at the type of high calibre artists we can provide by browsing our Artist Roster

  • What if I just want to find out my options?

You can call or email us to ask anything you like regarding our artists and the service we provide. We’re confident the calibre of our artists will speak for itself.

  • What if my chosen artist isn’t available for my event?

Naturally our artists can’t always be available, particularly at certain times of the year. If you are very determined to book a specific artist then we advise you book as far in advance as you can. If, however, they are not available our consultants will always be able to advise you on other artists on our roster who have similar credits, style or image, depending on your needs.

Booking And Commitment

DMV Artists try and make things as simple as possible for our clients and for our artists and that’s why we handle all the paperwork and finances. Our consultants will ask you for all the information the artist will need and we can pass on special requests and any other information you wish. Similarly if the artist needs any further information we will contact you to clarify.

  • What happens if I need the artist to stay longer on the day or perform longer?

This will be at the discretion of the artist and whether they are happy to do so. It will also carry additional charges which will be detailed in your contract.

  • Will my contract be with DMV Artists?

DMV Artists will act as the broker for the contract which will be between you, the client, and the artist you choose.

  • What if I’m booking on behalf of someone?

That is absolutely fine, but whoever signs the contract will be the responsible party for ensuring the terms are met. Payment may be made by anybody as long as they include the contract reference on their payment.

  • Will I need to provide anything for the artist on the day?

As well as general comestibles the artist will also need a secure room to change and leave valuables, and parking should be provided near to the venue.

Tailoring My Event

We know that the key to your event is personalising it to you, whether that’s because you’re a FTSE 100 company, a charity event organiser or an artist yourself booking session musicians. DMV Artists are specifically set up to offer you the opportunity to achieve this. Discuss your requirements with our consultants and let them guide you to the best options and ensure that every little detail is perfect.

  • I need to book several artists, is that possible?

Yes of course, and we can take care of liaising between any DMV Artists too. We can also help you combine different types of entertainment or multiple session players or festival performers.

  • I don’t know much about music how can DMV help me?

All of our consultants are musicians or entertainers themselves and have years of experience working in the industry. They’ve also all worked in education so they know how to help people identify the types of music they enjoy. They’ll know what questions to ask you to get an idea of your preferences and will be able to provide you with a selection of options from our roster that meet those tastes.

  • Can I request a specific song/dance/trick from the artist on the day?

We don’t allow guests to make requests on the event day, however our Artists are open to receiving specific requests made in advance of the event.

Fees And Invoicing

Once you’ve chosen the artist or artists you wish to book and DMV have confirmed their availability, then you will be sent a contract to sign along with an invoice with details of when payments are due and how to make them.

  • Do I have to pay a deposit?

Yes a 50% deposit is due at the time of booking.

  • How do I make my payments?

Payments can be made by direct bank transfer or by Paypal. Full details will be included on your invoice.

  • When do I have to make payment?

In order to ensure the artist you choose can reserve your event date, payment of the deposit must be made no later than 7 days after the booking has been confirmed by a DMV Artist consultant. The full balance must be cleared no later than 3 days following the event date.

  • What happens if I need to cancel?

Our artists are busy professionals who will be committing their valuable time to your event. In respect of this commitment we stipulate that the 50% deposit is non-refundable and if cancellation is less than 6 weeks prior to the event the full 100% will be owed. Full details can be found in your contract.

  • Will I need to pay the artist expenses?

No, these will generally be included in the negotiated fee, however if flights are required they may need to be added as a general expense. Comestibles will need to be provided for the artist on the day however.
